READING THE RESULTS

Age-grading adjusts a runner's time based on
tables that take into account the average time
for other runners of the same age and gender.  
These tables are produced from the results of 
thousands of runners over a span of several 
years.  The purpose of age-grading is to put 
everyone on an equal footing.
